The Hot Potato Band have become one of the most celebrated street and stage performing bands in Australia. From large scale festivals to intimate venues they have successfully captured the energy and interaction of their street performances and perfectly integrated it into their on stage show. Describing the bands sound has been no easy feat. Combining world influences such as ska, blues, afro-cuban, pop, reggae and folk into a New Orleans inspired brass band with an Australian edge may classify the band as ‘multi-genre’, however, the constant joy they bring to audiences leave many suggesting a new genre of ‘Happy’.
